Gabby Young and Other Animals
On Friday, I teamed up with Jukebox Review again, and we headed down to the Union Chapel in Islington. We were there to interview and photograph Revere, and I’ll write more about that in my next post. For now, I wanted to put some photos up of the main support on the night, Gabby Young and Other Animals.
They’re a very intriguing band, and well worth checking out. It’s not often you get to see a double bass, accordion, trumpet, clarinet and melodica all on the same stage, or maybe I’m just going to the wrong gigs? It’s probably what all the cool kids are doing these days. They’ve got a really strong image, and a coherent look through the band, and Gabby Young has the kind of voice that makes you stop what you’re doing and pay attention. Oh, and her dad gave me a mince pie, so I was a very happy man indeed.
